At each login winlogon.exe calls
slc.dll!SLGetWindowsInformationDWORD
to check Activationstatus and returns ok or error

The patch makes slc.dll!SLGetWindowsInformation to always returns 1

How ever the old safemode trick -hooking or patching GetSystemMetrics(SM_CLEANBOOT{=0x43})
to return 1 - to make winlogon believe it's in safemode will still work.

Manual install
--------------

The point is about to bring in slc.dll.
On the system I made the slc.dll-crack I could do it by renaming
c:\windows\system32\slc.dll to slc.org (because renaming also works / should also work if file is in use)
After that copy the slc.dll from antiwpa dir to system32.

Well if that doesn't work
copy the slc.dll from antiwpa dir to system32\slc.tmp
Boot into a second Windows you've also installed oder boot from setupCD and use recovery console to do the rename.

start windows vista setup to come to the recovery console
from the recovery console: (ensure you are in c:\windows) enter
cd system32
ren slc.dll to slc.org
ren slc.tmp to slc.dll

Manual Evaluation timebomb remove (untested)

Ok here is a way how to avoid a trial timebomb before you install windows XP
(this will probably work for vista too)
1. on some running windows XP start regedit.exe
2. set cursor on HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
3. Menu: File\'Load hive' and open [WINsetupdir]\i386\'SETUPREG.HIV'
4. enter 'tmp' as new hive name and navigate to
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\tmp\ControlSet001\Services\setupdd
click on (default) and fill/overwrite it with 16 x '00' like that
'00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00'
'00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00'
5. navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\tmp and File\'UnLoad hive'
